We are currently seeking a talented IT Auditor to assist the IT Audit Manager in developing and building IT audit programs and continuous auditing tools that add value to the business and the board of directors in terms of cost recoveries, process improvements & efficiencies, as well as detection of possible fraud, theft, waste, & abuse or violations of company policies.
Work with external IT auditors, IS Department personnel and leadership, and Internal Audit management to support and assess the IT component of Management’s 404 process to assess WCN’s internal control over financial reporting.
Help build and support a continuous auditing/monitoring program for the Internal Audit Department to assist in identification of potential fraud, waste, or abuse transactions or violations of company policies or controls.
Create custom visual analytics and develop tools to automate standard processes for the Internal Audit Department and other departments as requested.
Plan, execute, and report thoughtful and actionable improvement recommendations on IT-specific internal audits.
Lead the IT component of various internal audits, including in-depth revenue/sales & billing system security reviews at operating locations.
Assist the IA department with financial controls testing and district internal audits as needed to better understand the financial and operational processes and risks
Ideal Candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
Understanding of risks & controls and basic accounting preferred.
Understanding of information security standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, or similar certification preferred
Robust skill in reviewing and writing SQL scripts preferred
Experience with MS SQL Server EM and analytics tools such as Tableau and Alteyrx preferred
Flexible to travel if necessary
An ability to articulate technical topics to a non-technical audience
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
A desire to learn and be able to confidently seek out knowledge to draw independent conclusions
The ability to focus in on the details, while also being able to step back and see the big picture.
