PM Technician - 2nd Shift
We have an immediate position open for a2nd Shift PM Technicianto work on our fleet of trucks at our Groot location inElgin, IL.
Schedule is Monday-Thursday 2 pm to 10:30 pm, Friday from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Overtime and a minimum 1 Saturday per month as needed.
As a key member of our maintenance technicians team, your work will involve inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.

Pay starts at $22.50/hour - overtime is paid time and half
Weekly pay / direct deposit.
Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Performs inspections, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Performs maintenance related work as required.
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess:
1-2 Years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair, or completion of accredited vocational technical school program in Diesel Mechanics preferred
CDL Class A or B is a plus; Ability to obtain a Class A or B in the future is required
Ability to maintain and supply own personal tools needed to perform essential duties
Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Strenuous physical work, to include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling
Ability to adapt to a wide variety of environments to complete work assignments
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
